What is your fee?
My fee is $185 / 50 minutes for individuals and $215 / hour for couples. I reserve a few reduced-fee slots for clients with financial need. Please inquire to discuss your options.
I accept credit cards or Venmo, and payment is due at the time of service.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance. However, I am happy to provide a monthly itemized receipt for your PPO health insurance plan or health savings account.
Why therapy?
There are many reasons to come to therapy. Maybe you're feeling more anxious or stressed than usual or you're stuck in the same old patterns and unsatisfying relationships. Often these low points can be an opportunity for growth and healing. But growing is painful, and sometimes we can't do it on our own. That's where I come in. I can offer an unbiased perspective and honest reflection and would be honored to help you navigate the journey inward.
What is your cancellation policy?
Regular attendance is essential to our work together. Should you need to cancel or change your appointment, please let me know 48 hours in advance via voicemail to avoid being charged for a missed session.
How frequently will I visit?
I see clients on a weekly basis. We will decide on a specific day and time that fits your needs best.
How long will I need to come to therapy?
This is different for everyone and depends on your unique situation. For shorter-term goals, such as processing a breakup or career change, several months may be all we need. For longer-term goals, such as exploring strong belief systems or patterns of behavior, the process may take longer. I'll check in with you frequently to determine an appropriate time to end our work together.
Will our sessions be confidential?
What you share in our sessions is completely confidential. However, there are a few exceptions:
1) Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse.
2) Immediate threat of harm to self or others.
3) In the case of a court subpoena.
We'll discuss my office policies during our first meeting.
Where are you located? Is there parking?
My cozy office is located in the Old Sash Mill building at 303 Potrero Street, Unit 29-303, Santa Cruz CA. 95060. Its conveniently located near shops and cafes and walkable to downtown.
There is plenty of parking in the neighboring lots. It can take a few minutes to find a parking spot during peak times, so please adjust your schedule accordingly.
